Fumes
Risks to health and the environment at the workplace
The fumes generated by industrial production processes (welding, grinding, plasma cutting) are extremely harmful to the health of workers, as they are characterised by solid and gaseous components, most of them toxic, which, if inhaled, can cause respiratory problems, irritations, asthma and allergies. Skin contact is also not recommended as it can cause reddening of the skin, allergic reactions, skin rashes and, in more serious cases, tumours.
Furthermore, these contaminants can also prove to be detrimental to the work environment, because the particles contained in the fumes, diffused as a result of industrial processes, can settle on the walls, floors and machinery, drastically reducing their performance and, as a result, compromise the productivity of the company.
