The industrial sector dedicated to the production and processing of hides generates the emission of polluting substances, such as dusts, which are generated by shaving and grinding machines, but also fumes emitted from the exhaust devices on the finishing lines, and gases, among which also hydrogen sulphate, which develops whenever the sulphides, contained in the dermis of the hides during processing and in the tanning drums, come into contact with acids or acid solutions.
