Lime used to reduce acid gas emissions

L.M. Tecnologie dell’aria produces lime dosing systems. This reagent is injected to reduce acid gas emissions (HCI and SO2), that are carried in the fumes of the smelting furnaces, which, if inhaled, can cause respiratory disorders, skin irritations, headaches, asthma and, in more severe cases, pulmonary diseases, leukaemia and malignant tumours.

Furthermore, the emission of these contaminants into the atmosphere can also generate environmental problems, such as acidification of precipitation.
